Tim Nichols is the Pastor of Mountain Island Community Church in the Mt. Island Community. Tim was licensed and ordained through Christ Community Church in Huntersville, NC and has served in ministry for nearly 25 years. Tim and his wife Sue reside in the Huntersville area.

Tim attended John Wesley College – BA 1990 and graduated with a Master’s of Divinity in 1994 from Duke University.

From his first mission and preaching experience in the Dominican Republic, there were many confirming experiences that led him to the ordained ministry. His desire is to help people who long to develop a deeper relationship with Christ, and grow with others while seeing many others come to the saving knowledge in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Offering everything we have and who God has gifted us to be in service to Christ and to the Mt. Island Lake community is an essential step for our call to ministry. Tim is willing to provide insight to individuals and help others develop their strengths, spiritual gifts and relationships. The mission of Mountain Island Community Church is to serve individuals and families to joyfully move toward their purpose God has planned for their life.

His favorite Bible verse is John 3:30 – “He must become greater and greater so that I can become less and less.”
